I'm playing Final Fantasy Chronicles: FFIV for Playstation (original) on my Playstation2 and I'd like to get a cheat device to speed things up. Is there a Codebreaker, Action Replay or Gameshark that will work on older Playstation games without screwing up my PS2? If so, where can I buy it? Amazon.com has been no help.

If not, where can I look up codes for a current cheat device for PS2 that will work on PS1 games?

The PSOne Gameshark or CodeBreaker will work if you use it to play the game on your PS2.

You cant put cheat codes or games for the playstation 1 on a gameshark or other cheating device that is meant for the ps2. It doesnt always work but sometimes, if you dont have to use hardware, you can use a ps1 gameshark or other cheating device in the playstation 2 and it will work. It worked for me when I was playing parasite eve 1 and breath of fire 3. You can find one of these devices on ebay or at their home pages.
