Nope. Not worth it. It would cost you more time and money to fix than buy a new one.

If it is typing different words it may not have anything to do with the water other than what key sequences you may have executed during the cleanup process. I wish I could remember off the top of my head which key set does this BUT this used to happen to me regularly on an IBM laptop that I used to have. I woudl accidentallly hit two keys (like the function key and the break key or a key in that general area ) and it would start typing the wrong letters. You have to reverse it - it is like turning caps lock off and on. I HOPE that's your problem. Easy to fix. The beep I don;t recall though.

Disconnect it from your computer and let it dry out completely. You can also but a can of compressed air from an office supplies store and blow out the water. Be patient. Let it dry out overnight if you haven't already.

If it still doesn't work, buy yourself a wireless keyboard and mouse set and you won't be tied down to your desk. (search www.amazon.com for "wireless keyboard mouse".)

Or just buy yourself a wired keyboard practically anywhere (Target, Wal-mart, K-mart, Office Depot, Circuit City, Best Buy, Staples, etc.)

It's not worth fixing - new keyboards are only $8 - $12. I say get a new one.

Most likely you will have to replace it. If it's on your laptop or notebook you will need to take it all in for repail.

If it's only a add on key board then you maywant to look on eBay for some good deals. http://www.ebay.com and search Or click this link: http://computers.listings.ebay.com/Desktop-Laptop-Accessories_Keyboards_W0QQfromZR4QQfsooZ1QQfsopZ3QQsacatZ33963QQsbrsrtZdQQsocmdZListingItemList You will have hundreds to choose from.

One more thing, if per say it happened to a laptop or a notebook, you can hook up a portable keyboard and have mor options as well.

Good luck..
