I look at the world or U.S. as we are all in this together and not every man for himself.

1) Not having a mindset that is terminally locked into a "one party is totally right/one is totally wrong" idiocy.

2) Not being so narrow minded that we believe that there are only two solutions/options to any problem.

3) Not supporting things like toying with the Constitution for "fluff issues" like gay marriage.

4) Supporting contraception to teens instead of some fantasyland "abstinence" program.

5) By realizing that dissent is one of the most patriotic things you can do; not being afraid to question authority.

6) By not falling into lockstep with the fear mongers who chant,"I'm not doing anything wrong, let them snoop wherever they want." These people do not understand the Constitution in the LEAST!

That'll do for starters...

Personally or in the generic sense?
Personally, the views that make me a liberal are
Pro-choice
Pro- gay marriage
Higher taxes for wealthy, lower taxes for the poor
Social service programs for those that meet qualifications
Diplomacy over armed action
Government oversight of corporate business dealings
Belief in the equality of ALL people in all things

What makes me a Liberal is the fact that I am anti-Republican. The people that have taken over the Republican Party are a scary, hating bunch.

The answers from the Conservative to your question prove my point. This question was not directed to them, yet their hate toward anyone other than Conservatives compelled them to answer.

Liberals don't lie?

Hello:

Clinton (monica, whitewater, perjury)
Gore (On illegal fundraising "I had lots of iced tea to drink, I had to leave the room alot. I don't remember that day.")
John Kerry (lying about his war time record)
Michael Dukakis (On his prisoner policy, Letting Willie Horton out of prison to kill again)
Johnson (vietnam war, enemy casualty counts)
Dan Rostenkowski (Democrat who ran the postal service and stole stamps by the thousands)
William Jefferson (being caught red handed with bribe money in his freezer)

Will you people look at the facts and not just accuse people blindly.

it's more of a mindset than a set of actions.. have an open mind and the actions will follow.

Hiking taxes, furthering political correctness, handouts for minorities, open borders, respect for the UN, repression of opposing ideas through name calling,(bigot, sexist, greedy, provincial, etc), more government control in our day to day lives, constant latte ingestion, complaining when a republican president invades one contry, and saying nothing when a democrat president invades 44 of them.
Fighting for the right to have an abortion while fighting against the death penalty, using nonsensical terms such as "global village", jumping up and down about Mark Foley while saying nothing about Gary Studds. Yipping about ethics while exempting Starkist from yer new minimum wage law. Demanding amnesty for millions of crimaliens. Scheerching for universal health care without studying it's effects in other nations.
Singing Kumbaya in the back yard until your throat is sore, waiting for that day we all hold hands and love one another.

Never shot somebody in the face with a shotgun, don't feel the need to tell people what to do, not be racist, ect.
