He seems so sad and his persona has changed. Has anyone else noticed this about Eddie? He seems to have lost his edge. He was recently on Oprah for the premier of Dreamgirls and he just sat there, like he was a stranger not knowing how to join into the conversation. Has anyone heard anything?

Im glad you noticed this and brought it up - ive been thinking this too...I keep waiting for him to make a funny movie. Youre all correct, he has been through a lot recently and it is probably affecting his mental state and ultimately his desire to actually want to be funny!
I think he should just take pride in the fact that he is a great actor, we all love him for the joy he brings to the World with his big funny smile!
Coming to America, Beverley Hills cop 1, 2 and 3 - these are him at his best...more of this Eddie, please!!!

I haven't heard anything, but I noticed that when I saw him on "Inside the Actor's Studio." He was very sullen and quiet. Not like the other comedians that have been on there. I thought he just didn't want to be doing the interview, but I've seen him a few times since and I know what you mean...something's weird with him.

Hmm, it might be an improvement. I've always liked Eddie Murphy, he's up there with Arnold and Rowan Atkinson... However, I've always felt that maybe he was overdoing some of his acts.

He's been in the spotlight a lot lately, with rumors of being gay, going through a divorce, being/not being the father of Scary Spice's baby. I think he's just keeping a low profile. Who can blame him?

he's older and more mature now, in person he is a very quiet person unlike eddie the comedian...recently divorced may be sad over losing family
