I have avent nipples for every age group from my daughter should I throw them out or can I use them for my next daughter?

Throw them out! Nipples should be replaced when any type of wear is noticed. The strength of the nipple should be tested by pulling on the nipple. If any tears, stickiness or swelling are noticed, the nipples should be discarded and replaced.

Here is what avant says about it:

How long should a nipple be used before it needs to be replaced?
If used on a daily basis, nipples need to be replaced every three months (even if you wash and sterilize the nipples after use). If nipples are used only occasionally, they should be replaced after six months of use.

All Avent Nipples are made from silicone. Since silicone doesn't wear or change shape the way latex rubber does, Avent Nipples will need to be changed less often than other brands. Periodically inspect the nipples for damage, such as scratches or tears. Always replace a damaged nipple.

That depends on when your next daughter comes into the picture. You can always boil nipples to keep them clean if you are currently pregnant again. But if you're not and have to store them somewhere for a long period of time where it's a possibility that they can get damaged or age, I would say just throw them out.

I threw away mine... I think is best to get new nipples for your next baby... Even though it can be sterilized, you never know... and since they are silicone, they can crack/wear out over time with the weather changes...

Hope this helps!

If used I would through them out, they are probably worn out, and not good to just sit around waiting for the next baby to use them. Buy new ones.

Yeah, throw them out. They only cost like a buck a piece anyway.

I would throw them out because you can buy more when the time comes and you won't have to worry about them being dirty or discolored.

I personally would buy new ones. The old ones could be filled with bacteria even though you may have washed them correctly.

I would throw them out and start over. Those things can harbor bacteria.

After a good boiling they are completely reusable. Just be sure they are in good shape with no stains, tears, too large of holes, etc.

it all depends on the condition of the nipples. as long as they aren't discolored or foggy looking and not cracked you should be able to use them after sanitizing them.
