I recieved a gift certficate to beauty salon (in the UK) for Christmas for several services (the gift card is worth 50 pounds). Do I need to tip when the services are done, or is this somehow included with the certificate????

The gift certificate is just like cash to the operator... if you get a manicure, find out the price and tip accordingly.

Look at the prices for the service you are using.
If they amount to the certificate value, then there is not enough to cover the tip too.
If they are less than the certificate, then use the balance for the tip.

I tip if i love the service. in recent times, salons employ out their cubicles to hairstylists, nail human beings and so on. That way, many of the time - they ought to pay a month-to-month employ for the revenues area, pay for his or her own styling products / nail products they are using on your hair or nails. they in reality get a fee on their each and each day intake. Now, some places like Regis or larger chain places assure their stylists a minimum of minimum salary in the journey that they dont hit a particular quantity of income each and each week. do you want to tip the owner? IMO, sure - in case you're overjoyed with the service and effect of the time you spent of their chair... as a lot as you - some human beings tip, some do not...

No, it isn't included in the certificate, unless you tell them to include it with any left over money, it's always polite to leave a tip though, I just think what I'd like if I was them
