Let the baby take a bottle from someone other than the mother.Babies can smell breast milk and will hold out for that.
Keep adding bottle feedings as your milk dries up.In a breast fed baby, it is best to have at least one feeding a day done by bottle from Dad .That way the baby gets used to the bottle.

It depends on the age of the baby. If she is under a year, you will need to switch to a baby formula. If she is a year or older, you can switch her to whole milk.

If you are strictly breast feeding, you'll need to pump for a little while - fill bottles or cups with breast milk and allow her to get used to drinking from something other than Mom.

If you are already giving her bottles or cups, just switch to the new drink (formula or whole milk), and see how she does!

Good luck!

Start supplementing a bottle of formula in between breast feedings, and slowly start giving more bottles and less breast feedings. My son was weaned after his first bottle, breast feeding requires more work on the baby's part so a lot of babies will switch over no problem. Hopefully it'll be that way for yours. Good luck!

My daughter-in-Law stoped breast-feeding my grand-daughter,and using the pump, when my grand-daughter became 3 months old. Then she bottle-fed her with Breast Milk for 3 more months. By that time the Breast Milk was making my grand-daughter constipated, because Breast Milk contains Lactose,in which she was intolerant of. The Pediatrician prescribed "Similac Lactose-Free" for her (she's eight months now). You will have to take your baby to his/ her doctor, and he will prescribe the next best formula for baby's who are trying to be weened from Breast Milk.

Just start by giving your baby fresh whole milk if the child is at least one. If younger formula. Even if the baby will not give in , keep trying. She/he will give in eventually. Good Luck
