It seems liberals cannot muster the heart to openly thank our troops for their excellent heartfelt service without spouting their rediculous idealogy. I dare any liberal reading this to prove me wrong.

I consider myself to be a liberal, I whole heartedly support out troops, I a relative serving and have personally thanked a veteran. Just because I do not agree with the war, doesn't mean I do not feel for the men and women serving our country

Of course they can thank the troops for a job well done. They can also say what an incompetant azz their boss is by not sending enough to secure Iraq in the beginning of his damn war in the first place (that he started for no good reason- one has yet to convince me how Iraq and 9-11 are related! what a piece of work he is.) I'm not a liberal, I'm an Independant. Voted for the bast@rd the first time around but not the second!!!

Absolutely.

Thanking the troops has nothing to do with thanking the Current Occupant.

I fly my American flag everyday. I thank our troops. I am sorry for their families that receive the bad news of them dying for no reason. I have been sending letters and hostess cupcakes etc to my marine friend for over a year. What have you done to thank them? I love our troops. I love them so much I want them to come home.

Your delusional...... Just because you hate Libs get real. There are many fine sons of liberals and any rational human regardless of party affiliation wants our fine young men to be well.

That does not translate to support for a lost civil war though.

I can thank them for doing what they do, and doing it even if it is foolhardy in the worst way. I can thank them for being ready to make the Ultimate Sacrifice for my freedoms, something I'm not sure I could do myself.

And I can apologize for not working harder to keep their lives from being thrown away for someone else's idea of revenge and "liberation."

Are you writing from the grave Ronny? I thank the troops daily for doing a great job that they were forced to do by the tyrant GWB. They were sent into an unjust war without the equipment that they needed.

I dare them, also! It ought to be a barometer of their core beliefs that they cannot or will not step up and say "hurrah" to our military. They have always been soft on the military but a thank you would be damn refreshing!

Ronnie, you should be ashamed of your self. If you are going to talk from the dead at least apologize for the mess you got us into with your buddy Saddam you supported. Shame on you, go back to sleep.
