Do you cook for your husband? I face the dilemma of what to cook for him everyday? He doesn't help me out as far as he doesn't tell me what he wants to eat. And I don't work right now, so I feel the pressure to cook, but what?

i make a planned schedlue
example roast, next (soup) beef stew, why it saves money.

Tonight i defrosted frozen streak by boiling it in watter added parsnip, carrots, and potatos latter will make a gravy cut the steak up and serve Yum, also you can do other things like start steaming vegtables there better tasting and even frozen ones whic are cheaper are as good and healthier too!

Try broiling meat add in some mushrooms on top then alfredo sauce, sounds gross but is goood!!
you can email me for some recipies if you like.

Landes9@yahoo.com, just make sure you subject it cookingor something I'll help you go gormet, simple things to! I also plan ahead the week prior and go freezer diving for ideas for meals too-

I'm currently not working and I cook for my husband basically every day. When I was working, sometimes we would cook together or he'd cook himself once or twice a week, but for the most part I cooked then too. Sometimes I'll ask him what he would like or give him options to choose from, but for the most part I cook whatever I feel like cooking.

If you aren't sure what to cook, simply ask him if he has a taste for anything. Give him a couple of options based on what you have in the home. He may never let you know what he would like to have and just leave it up to you. My husband would never tell me what he wants to eat unless I ask him because he doesn't expect me to cater to him. Your husband may feel the same way and is probably appreciative of whatever you choose to cook.

Jeez is it that big of a deal? Unless he's complaining he's probably just happy to have a nice wife and a hot meal. Don't sweat it.
I am sort of in your situation - I am the cook in the family. I really have about 12 or so typical dinners that get rotated but throw at least 1 or 2 new ones in a week, and there are some that only happen once in a while. Unless I really blow it or try something new and it sucks, my wife just happily eats it up.

Don't make a huge production out of it but don't just open a box of cereal either. A weeknight meal could be as simple as hotdogs or as fancy as chicken parmesan (I made it from the ground up).

I usually do the cooking and I had the same problem that you are having. I changed a couple of years ago and now cook what I want to eat that night and don't think about him. He will eat whatever you cook, trust me.

I feel the same way at dinnertime. My husband never tells me what to cook, so I'm usually stuck deciding. If you have kids you can have them choose what to eat for dinner. Other than that just think about whatever it is you have a taste for. This is also a perfect opportunity for you to try out new recipes.

i was a stay at home wife and mother for 20 yrs and what to make every day was always a problem.. I pretty much didn't care what my husband wanted because it always seemed he'd find something to complain about it anyway, but what to feed the children every day was a dilemma..
i personaly love to cook and do as much as i can for my boyfriend and it doesn't matter to him if its something as simple as opening a can of soup for him or making a complete meal for the whole family as long as i enjoy doing it is what counts..

Yeah I cook but not everyday. My husband doesn't eat all types of meat so I have a very limited amount of things I can cook which makes it harder for me. i cook a lot of pasta dishes like veggie lasagna and turkey spaghetti. I make tilapia and salmon a lot. I also make chicken parm and turkey meatloaf. It's lot of the same stuff. I know exactly what you mean.

I do cook for my husband almost every night. However, we do take our kids out on Friday's for a fun time (dinner and movies or chuck e cheese). Lasagna, cubed steak, pot roast..all those are good meats to make. Most guys (like mine) love homemade mashed potatoes, biscuits, fresh vegetables..there are so many things to cook that don't require you killing yourself..LOL. Sometimes, my time cooking is limited between my job, husband, kids, and the housekeeping, it gets hectic. Try www.foodnetwork.com for some great, easy, and quick recipes.

Try getting a good reciepe book and trying new things. I'm not a very good cook so I can't say I'm the best person to ask, but I'm sure you could get some good ideas. You might even try asking you mom, or other family members for some ideas for meals.
