If you don't tell the truth to someone?

because you know that they know it, is it still a lie?

I say it is, but that's just me.

ya...even if they no still tell em..then they trust you
its always best to tell someone befor they find out from someone else

I assume you mean just remaining silent and saying nothing because you know they already know the truth? Or denying knowing anything at all? Some would call that lying by omission.
