Hi

These little gems had problems with the cam and crank sensors going open circuit, which would give the no spark scenario outlined in the other answers. Do these motors not have the direct coil packs fitted to the plugs?

Cheers

This generally indicates a bad coil or a breakdown in the HT leads

The car is running to rich, check your air filter to see if its black and blocked , if ok check your cold start if its not coming of when hot . it can also cause the same problem

More than likely a bad ignition coil.

Next time it won't start, check for spark.
