Wellbutrin is reported to have some effect on this, but it is an antidepressant and something you will need to talk to dr. about. Patches have a good rep.

The best OTC treatment is the combination use of nicotine patch and gum or lozenge. You'll wear the patch all day, and use the gum/lozenge when you have a bad craving. On the prescription side, there are bupropion and Chantix. Chantix does have a better efficacy, but it has more side effects. Bupropion is off patent.

Zyban is very effective if taken properly. I know many who have stopped smoking because of this medication. Good luck.

The Patch is pretty good. Over the counter. It depends on your insurance on what they will cover.
