I could sit for hours quietly, just looking in the mirror. I guess I put myself into a kind of trance. I always believed there was another world inside the mirror.

yes and now i do it with my kid. she will come into the bathroom when i am getting ready and want to stand on front of the mirror and we will make funny faces at each other.

I still do. Now, when I'm with my neices and nephews, I play a game with them in the mirror where I say, "Lemme see your (happy/sad/excited/forelorn/angry/goofy) face!" They love it, and I think it helps children get in touch with their emotions.
