We've been married 12 years, now she wants a baby.I've got a grand child.Why didn't she have one 10 years ago.What makes a woman want a child this late in life?
She never has had one and now its all I hear.

I can understand that she might want a child. She is feeling the natural biological urge to have a baby. However, just because she wants a child doesn't mean that she should pressure you into the idea. Kids are incredibly important, so you would need to be 100% behind the idea as well. It sounds like you have already had kids and are not interested in having more, which I can completely understand. I've got 2 kids who were born in my thirties. As wonderful as they are, I can't even imagine going through all that again in my fifties!

Therefore, I'd suggest that you talk and be understanding with your wife about her desires to have a child, but also be firm that this isn't something that you want at this stage of your life.

Maybe she's thinking about being alone some day,with no family.Give her the child if she wants one.You both need something to signify that you were together in this world,leave a legacy behind to keep you both alive in memory.

Everyones timing is different. With women this is not just a mind thing. If she is feeling that need to have a child it is coming from deep within & it is not something she can just shut off.

I guess she didn't want the responsibility before but now the clock is about to tick its last tock. Its either now or never.
