I have been on the pill for 4 years and sometimes when i know i "should" be ovulating, i get some of the symptoms. i know the pill prevents ovulation, but is it still possbile to get these symptoms?

Yes, you will still ovulate, all the pill does is make your uterus an inhospitable environment for fertilization

Occasionaly I also have symptoms of ovulation. Since I sometimes to forget to take the pill I wonder if I did in fact ovulate. The pill is suppose to supress ovulation, but just in case it does happen (which is why we may get the symptoms), the pill also prevents pregnancy in two other ways.

It depends, because some pills do, like you said, simply prevent ovulation. Others make it so that the walls of your uterus can't support an embryo. Either way, your body is still sending some hormones through it, so it's highly possible for you to be experiencing some ovulation-like symptoms :)

I don't feel any ovulation symptoms and have been on the pill for thirteen years.

Before that I hardly ever felt anything, mainly because I hardly ever ovulated.
