Tonight's my first big performance, the first I've ever done. It's in front of like 400 people. I'm extremely nervous, and I've frozen onstage once before and totally spaced on a line. Another actor saved me but it felt like we were all just sitting there silent forever in front of about 90 people...
anyway, it's not an experience I want to repeat. I'm so afraid I won't remember something again...
But it's easier, no lines, it's a masked pantomime. I'm really nervous, anybody have any tips to help me get over this?

Stage Fright just goes with the job. I am a actor . When you good out on that stage you will not be able to see the audience at all because of the stage lights.
Then you'll feel much better. When you say that first sentence of dialog and the other person says the other line , All the fright just disappears.
The biggest problem with first acting is listening to what the other actors are saying. Just listen and take 10 deep breaths . See you at the Academy Awards.

When I have to get in front of a group of people, I just try to pretend no one is there. Just do your best on your performance and act like you're doing it alone, or just with the rest of your crew. Also, sometimes I don't make eye contact if it's a big audience. I'll just stare slightly above their heads. Hope this helps and good luck tonight!

Practice make perfect ^_^ and don't think about satisfying the audience, satisfy yourself first ^_^

Practice everyday, and always practice in front of a mirror where you can see yourself and your actions, because if you are comfortable in seeing yourself perform, you'll be confident enough to perform in front of 400 people or even more. ^_^ and i wish you luck, gambatte!!!

It relies upon on how undesirable your degree fright is as to in case you shop on or supply up. some actors are interior the theatre for years and get degree fright each and each time and can be ill earlier they circulate on and nonetheless carry out properly. One snooker participant replace into sturdy yet on television his nerves have been so undesirable he gave up snooker altogether. Me in my view i might hate to accomplish in front of human beings , the conventional public as you're very right now judged. you could desire to be mentally tricky to that end and you will nonetheless be aggravating. while you're actually not mentally tricky you will supply in and p.c.. this way of leisure. interior the chinese language olympics not earlier a suitable little female replace into miming to a song sung by a woman with a suitable voice yet not perfect enamel. She replace into the single with expertise and could have been there on that degree yet it is an occasion of being judged. in case you could conquer stressful with regards to the objective audience judging you you will suceed and for this you could desire to be mentally tricky , might desire to push aside unkind words reported to public performers and have confidence in your self. you could desire to have confidence in your self and in case you do you will succeed.

I was always told to think about the audience in their underwear. I have no idea if that would help, it never helped me, but, maybe you would have better results.
