I know for sure they will ask you about any involvement with any illegal activities EVER. I suggest to just be honest. Do you know if you will have to do the lie detector test? I know in California (San diego) that is also one of the requirements. I say relax, be yourself, and BE HONEST. Not everyone involved in law enforcement is/was a saint!

Why do you want to work for the police department? What assets do you have to offer as a caseworker? Why should we consider you for the position? Do you have a law background? Do you have any friends or family member that are employed by the police department? Do you know anyone who works at this office that could tell me about your background as a caseworker? Do you have any plans to continue your education?
When people think of you as a special person, what are three things that come to their minds? Is it your personality, brains, dependability, honesty, go get-er, persuasion, etc.

Dress conservative..they're going to ask you background questions (people in your family felons, etc., do you have a record, tickets, etc...) How well do you think you'll do at the job.
They'll throw in some 'scene' type questions. (ie...if so and so did this , what would you do...etc.) They're going to look at your body language too, so sit up, don't cross your arms, relax, sit with your legs together, hands open on your lap, look them in the eye (s). If you have to talk with your hands, don't make stabbing motions (even with your fingers.) It's a sign of aggression.
Don't cry, don't get angry...be as neutral as you can.
Min makeup...studs in your ears (nothing dangling, no necklaces)
(if you have tattoo's cover them up).
Don't volunteer anything, just answer the questions they ask.
(don't make stories out of anything either. short and sweet...)
Good luck !!! hope you get the job . [[[ ]]]

1) do you like krispy kremes?
2) do you take your coffee black?
3) 1 lump or 2?
4) do you really think the word "for" is spelled "fo" ?
You may want to take a crash course before your interview.
(just kidding) Good Luck

they always ask the following in any interview I've had:
Can you think of a time when you couldn't complete a task?
Can you think of a time when you went out of your way to assist someone?
