both? no idea, although i have heard of an instance (from my teacher, i think) when a dog didnt like some1, and that person eventually turned out to be like a jerk, so maybe dogs, i actually have no idea which one is smarter

dogs - cats lick themselves

cats - cats can like, hide under the couch and never come out, they just seem like animals that can treat u like the pet and they act like the owner, it seems like its hard to get a cat to fully respect you, dogs are really cool, they know u feed and take care of them, they can be friendly i think, cats can probably leave your house and get food then come home in the night or something and just mooch off the shelter and warmth of your house w/out giving u any repsect

dogs - theyre more loyal, playful, and friendly than cats i think

now im not tryin 2 hate on cats, i think theyre cool animals and great to have as pets, i kno it seems like i hate cats, but i really dont lol, its just w/these questions it may seem like that, cats are really cute and adorable :)

Scientists say that dogs are smarter because they seem easier to train. I disagree. Cats are smarter. Mine know how to spell --- at least they know V-E-T. When they hear the word, or the spelling, they disappear the next day until after 5:00 pm (when the vet's office is closed).

Cats are hands down cleaner than dogs. To prove this, just use your nose.

Cats hold a grudge against the people they allow to live with them longer than dogs; but, they do eventually forgive.

I would have cats rather than dogs. Cats are softer, smell better, and tend to be smaller than dogs. This is important when you get old and your bones get brittle. A cat jumping in your lap isn't likely to cause bodily harm; a dog jumping up in greeting can knock you over and, when your bones are brittle, break you.

Cats are smarter. They only come to you when they need something. Caressing or food..
Cats are cleaner. You never have to wash a cat. They clean up themselves..
Dogs hold grudge. Cats never do. They just don't care.
By the absence of another human being I would prefer to have a cat around. It is less dependent on you.. It can treat you like an equal..

I would rather have a 'Dog' than a 'Cat' if i wouldn't be able to have a human companion for the rest of my life...Reason: b'cos cats are more independent, they leave and go on by themselves.. you cant realy train them either.. but a Dog is loyal and sticks with you, and you can train it.. And "Dogs are mans best friend". :)

Fastest - Cheetah but we can't forget the falcon which can go nearly 200 mph in a dive. 2 strongest bite is tough question. A tiger can actually crush the spine of an elephant but a killer whale can crush most anything he can fit in his enormous mouth. 3. heaviest goes to the whales. 4. slowest goes to the sloth 5. lightest goes to the shrew or hummingbird. 6 strongest must be whales. 7 strongest teeth - again killer whale which can chomp down on whole animals like seals, and dolphins and not break a tooth.

Smarter: It's debatable, cats appear smart, but they are so selfish, you really don't know. I know dogs can be trained, so dogs are smarter.
Cleaner: Cats groom themselves, so cats are cleaner.
Grudge: Definitely cats.
Life: Dog is a man's best friend, for good reason, loyalty, obedience, and they're always happy just to be with you. In my opinion, cats are worthless creatures. Yes, they are cute and affectionate, but at the end of it all, you get fur all over yourself. I'll take a dog please. Sorry cat-lovers (i used to love cats myself), but it's just my opinion.

cats for all...cats are smart enough to know they don't have to obey thier owners or do tricks, cats don't lick other animals butts, my cat held a grudge against me for a week after i went away for a month, and cat because i love the cats i own now and i would want to be with them for the rest of my life.
