The highest recommended dosage of tylenol per day is 4000 mg. After that, damage to the liver may occur. With 10 grams, it is likely there will be some liver toxicity.

Taking more than the recommended dose (12x 500mg tabs in any 24 hours) is an overdose. Unfortunately the useful amount of paracetamol for stopping pain is only just below the toxic level.

Toxic doses of paracetamol causes liver failure - 1 to 4 days after the overdose. Liver and kidney failure is an incredbly painful and slow way to die.

If you have taken that many paracetamol tablets, and have no intention of killing yourself then get to a hospital ASAP to have your stomach pumped, and the counteracting drugs administered.

OK, Paracetamol is the same as Tylenol. It is very dangerous to take too many. It causes liver failure which can lead to death. If someone took that many at one time, get them to the ER now.
