Since you only have 3-5 paragraphs to use , you will need to focus on one specific person or event.

Write about how Spring training gives a look at new talent and eases into the start of the season. It becomes a challenge to all of the teams to field their best for 162 games that culminates with the Playoffs and World Series in the Fall. Make it a seasonal thing. You fill in the blanks. 3-5 paragraphs is a cake walk.

Being a TRUE baseballer (played it since I was in the 2nd grade) go to your public library and get books about the history of the game. Where it originated and how it was started. I have an essay from High school that I did and I got an A on it. There is so much history to baseball the Rivalries and everything. If you want more info hit me up on my email I will help you out. jordan_nuss@yahoo.com

Write about the Curse of the Bambino (Babe Ruth) and how the Red Sox had an 86 year drought and write about how they made history in 2004 when they were down 3 games to 0 and how they won 4 striaght games. And don't forget the actual World Series championship in '04. I think this is the best story of all time.

i did a public speaking thing for school on baseball. i cant remember my intro or conclusion, but im sure its not that hard to come up with something good. try a quote from one of the past greats (yogi berra is a good bet) to start off your intro. if this paper is about baseball in general and getting people to understand the game, start off with basic rules and terminology. then go into stats and the history of the game. then write a quick piece on a couple greats that people should know (aka babe ruth, joe dimaggio, hank aaron, nolan ryan, etc).

if its to be more specific, then focus on either just the history (past greats, ballparks [yankee, fenway, wriggly, etc], and/or how the gameplay has progressed over the years) or about controversies in baseball history (shoeless joe and the white sox throwing away the world series, george brett [i think] and the pine tar, pete rose and gambling, and/or the current steriod cases [i wouldnt choose this cuz its too new and most people know about it]).

hope this helps. and good luck on the paper

i think between the main important matters with baseball is not any earnings cap. it is something that facilitates stability the expertise between the communities. Makes baseball extra thrilling. I rejoice with seeing a the two stable gifted baseball group head to head with yet another one. i'm bored with communities with enormous money paying for each and all of the expertise. i'm a Yankees fan, and that i hate this. I choose to work out communities like Oakland seize a participant because of the fact thats the place the participant desires to be. gamers have a occupation the place they might desire to make as lots money as they are in a position to earlier they retire. Why might you elect to play in Oakland for 7million a three hundred and sixty 5 days once you may make 12million for the Yankees or Redsox? that's motives why Oakland and Kansas city are continuously sucking, the place the Yankees and Sox rule maximum the years. in all fairness, the Dodgers and Mets have gave huge contracts and went no the place, notwithstanding if that's nonetheless a project while different communities don't have the possibilities to seize those great gamers. As a Yankees fan all my existence, I continuously used "properly, in case you like the terrific gamers you could desire to have the money, and to get the money you could desire to win the video games" yet, how do you win the video games, in case you won't be in a position to hold directly to your terrific gamers, and you will't sign any the terrific option gamers? it is your group rebuilding 3 hundred and sixty 5 days after 3 hundred and sixty 5 days, and it purely isn't mind-blowing. No earnings cap in baseball keeps the elites the elite, and the scum the scum.

You can talk about memoriable moments in baseball history in your third paragraph. Your third paragraph can be about some of the great players. Then you can include the main ideas of the above paragraphs for your conclusion.

History is a pretty easy topic to choose. How did you favorite team come to be in the city its it? Any memorable games? World Series? What players from that team are stand outs or have made the Hall of Fame? Does the city revolve around its baseball team? What I mean by that is some cities are obviously baseball cities or football cities.

All good answers so far. I have a specific topic idea, if you are the patriotic type.
I believe the season was 1976, and two protestors ran onto the field at Dodger Stadium and started to burn an American flag. Rick Monday was playing center field and he had the guts and cared enough to grab the flag and stop the desecration.
Do an internet search and you'll find information on this incident. Good luck!

This is a great topic. A few ideas could be:
1.Generaly how the sport has evolved over the years.
2.Pick a team and talk about there troubles and triumphs over the years.
3. Predictions for the upcoming season.
4. All time rivalries ex. Red Sox-Yankees I hope this helps.
