Last week I bought a nintendo wii and the remote was working just fine when I played wii sports. Next week the wii remote started messing up when I like swing it to move the racket in wii tennis. I think that the sensor in the remote itself is messed up or something because now I can't even punch in wii boxing or swing or anything at all that envolves moving the remote. Nothing is wrong with the the wii system or sensor bar, I think its just the remote. I never drop the thing or abused it in any way. I also tried syncing the remote but it still didn't work. Do I need a new remote or something? Please help and thank you!

Those remotes have a pretty hardy construction. It's more likely that something else is going on.

The first thing to try is changing the batteries! The Wii remote is kind of an energy hog, and if you've been playing a lot in the last week it is quite possible that you're starting to run low on juice.

Another major cause of problems with the remote is interference. Sometimes nearby signals can interfere with the ones your remote is sending to the Wii. Cordless phones, microwaves, and other wireless items that might not have been on when you first played might be causing trouble now.

Failing that, I'd recommend calling the Nintendo help line - those guys have probably heard any problem you can think of a hundred times over and know the best way to fix 'em. The number is 1-800-255-3700. You can e-mail them too, if you prefer.

Every copy of Wii Play comes with a Wii Remote, but not every Wii Remote comes with a copy of Wii Play. Wii Play is hard to find nowadays, though.

Sounds like it is broken or needs batteries, I've had my Wiimotes since the Wii was released and haven't had a problem (even though we launched one through our TV, still works great)!

well you should try not using it for a couple of days. Lay on a pillow and avode it for like a week. If that doesnt work then just get a new remote.

Change the batteries or maybe you have interference with other radio waves, like from a microwave or a phone, call customer support.

I would recommend resetting ( not just re-synching)the remote- my friend had the same problems and after resetting the remote (see the manual) it worked fine!
