Your browser is the application/program that you use to view web pages on the internet. When you start this application (or when you click on the help menu and then about) it will tell you it's title.
It is likely to be Internet Explorer (from Microsoft) but could also be Firefox, Netscape, Mozilla, Safari or another.
Browsers all have a number of versions, the version you use dictates how new it is.

You are absolutely free to choose the browser you use, just download another one you like the look of, install it and use that instead.

If your on XP, Read the last words on the Blue Bar at the top.

Probably, Internet Explorer, FireFox or Opera.

Personally, I advise Opera ... http://www.opera.com and follow the links, very easy to use, very fast and has some truely amazing features.

you are proberly using internet explorer. firefox is much better. it is faster than any other browser and safer. i used to use opera but it gets annoying and really slow.
