Yes, I have to have everything match on me.

My socks only match when I chance upon two plain white socks. This hardly ever happens, as most of my socks are striped, rainbow-coloured, etc. I rarely ever look at my socks as I'm grabbing them. I do put one back in exchange for another - more closely related - sock when I pick up one knee-length and one ankle-length sock. Talk about uncomfortable!

Only when they are new and when I buy one pair in that style.

Got around that when my uniform came with 3 pairs of white same socks and I shared a house and washing with 5 other people wearing the same.

Marked them with a permanent marker on the foot,

My name 1 r/l, My name 2 r/l, My name 3 r/l.

my socks never match simply because i always lose them in the laundry so instead of buying all the time to replace the ones i lost i started to wear whatever i found. at first i used to wonder if anyone would notice but i mostly wear pants so no one will see them hehehe

My socks always do match - I hate having mismatched socks.

Unfortunately my fiance thinks differently - he doesn't care if from time to time his socks don't match.

of course not, i dont know why stores still sell a matching pair. each sock should be sold individually with half price!

once, i was wearing one sock that was mine and another belonging to my boyfriend (i went running)

95 % of the time...occasionally I'll wear a pair that are the same color, but not the same exact (weave/pattern) sock...more rarely will I wear 2 different colored socks.

No. They have to be the same type of sock but I don't care about the color.
