I may be wrong, but I think the idea of a white female president scares them less than the idea of a black male president. Hopefully, the majority would look at the issues, and the real qualifications for governing. I say: hopefully - but then, I could be considered a wishful thinker.

I think America is ready for someone who will start pulling back troops from the middle east, perfectly handle crisis in the United States of America, and start working on environment issues. I mean can we sweep our on front porch, before we clean up somebody else's?

It depends on where you go. Interracial communities would probably be more comfortable with black male. Feminized places white female. I agree with the first guy though...look at the policies and solutions and resources and background they present, not at the variable of sex or color

What about a double minority - both black, and female? That would be interesting...not necessarily Rice (the current Secretary of State), but it could be anybody.
