My vote: Big disappointment.
A film (Borat) that offends and sickens every decent person that was forced to sit through it won?
Ugly Betty, a show that promotes unhealthful eating with its overweight actor and sloppiness with her unattractive looks wins? Best actress she is not.
Actors from a horribly bad movie (dream girls) win out over Jack Nicholson and fine actors like him who deserve it more because they constantly deliver and are better than AWFUL Eddy Murphy and the American Idol reject (the one who isn't William Hung - do you really know her name before last month?)
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie walk on like they are normal? Like they don't turn their back on the poor in their own country? Like they aren't sinners? Laughable.
The only great awards given out Clint Eastwood, Martin Scorsee and Meryl Streep. The true talent in Hollywood did not walk away.
I like celebrities and I enjoy following their lives and works, but last night disappointed me.

I totally agree! The best part of these awards shows is the red carpet (even though Cameron Diaz looked horrible!) and some of these shows are so overrated (Ugly Betty is so not funny and the lead actress is not that attractive in real life).

Sasha Baron Cohen won the award for best comedic performance - the movie didn't win. And his acceptance speech was hysterical! He is a great comedian and he deserved to win.
Ugly Betty promotes unhealthy eating and unattractive looks?! Overweight actor? Wow. That's harsh. What... only size 0 actors deserve to be on TV? I guess I'm not that shallow. Ugly Betty is a funny, unique show. I was thrilled that it beat out the other shows!
I haven't seen Dreamgirls nor did I see the Departed, but Jack Nicholson has been dialing in the same performance for years. They give the awards based on current performance, not the actor's history. In addition, Dreamgirls and The Departed were in differing categories. They weren't in competition with each other.
I thought Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt looked like a happy couple and I was happy they were there together. Good for them. By the way, how are they greater sinners than anyone else at that show? Clint Eastwood has how many kids with how many different women? hhmmm. None of those people are saints.

It was a big show because the room was full of celebs. Disappointment? Not me. I didn't see Borat so I can't judge. I did see Little Miss Sunshine and was bummed that it didn't win. I saw Meryl Streep in "Prada" but i'm sick of her as I am of Eastwood and Nicholson. DREAMGIRLS was excellent and Mr. Murphy prooved himself worthy. I liked Jennifer Hudson from the first time I heard her on A.Idol. She's got a great career ahead of her. I don't care about Brad and Angelina, but UGLY BETTY is the best comedy on tv and deserved every accolade it got!!!! So there

i loved borat... it was a witty film that made you think about the world and laugh at the same time. plus, it was only a movie. everyone i know loved it and if you're going to be offended, go watch a kiddie movie.
and ugly betty is a good show. shes an average actress, you can't expect her to be perfect. and i don't see you acting as a main character on a show. i was kinda dissapointed the office didn't win. but you better not watch it. you might get offended.
and everything else is just your opinion. they're not going to change the golden globes because of your opinion
