well its hard to say if it was the right thing.... Ok I just talked to my mom who is a pediatricians nurse! She said when they measure the babys at the hospital they do not measure them really acurate the do not stretch the babys legs all the way so when they go to the dr.s a month or 2 later then It is Possible for them to be a bit longer because they are being stretched all the way now! 5 inches is kinda pushing it though but could be close!
Well I hope this helps your friendship!!! Good Luck

Sounds familiar - possibly she's purely catching up? My females gained 3 lbs. each their first month, and it has considering that leveled off to 2 lb/month, possibly much less now that they are crawling. My females have been 17 & 18 lbs. at 7 months, so i could say that your female's slightly small for a 7-month-previous, yet conventional for her adjusted age. feels like a large weight-alleviation plan, too. save up the solid artwork :)

I call bull*hit too!!! If her baby grew 5 inches in two months... the kid has a growth hormone problem.

My baby is 8 months old and has grown 5 inches since birth... and she is tall for her age.
