The best place to go would be the individual city or state website. Purdue University has a great program in tourism and hospitality, but they only provide some statistics on their website:

Finally, the US Travel Industry Association has some info on their website at:

I would have to know the specific town or state to tell you which website. However, most cities and states have their own homepage with tourist bureau information and vital stats.
