He did not admit to ANY mistakes. "Where mistakes have been made, the fault lies with me" merely means, "If you CAN find any mistakes, fault lies with me." If he doesn't think it was a mistake, then no fault lies with him. And, you know he will NEVER think that anything done in this war was a mistake.

Your question presumes he said that going into Iraq was a mistake. He did not say that therefore it is not possible to answer your question with any certainty.

If you include his bumbling of the 9/11 intelligence and the soldiers killed because of that. Over 5,000 to date.

If you add in all the allied forces and all of the civilians killed from 9/11, Afghanistan, and Iraq the total his stupidity is well over 1,000,000 (million) and perhaps twice that.

The projected deaths before this mess is cleaned up is over 3 million military and civilians world wide.

Bush has just been a total hypocrite: "I am pro life...." If all of those deaths is pro life, I would abhor seeing someone that is not.

ahh, a trick question from a Lib

every war has had mistakes made & lives lost, but it seems that the modern Republicans are the ones taking the blame nowadays. If you think that those soldiers died for no reason, look around & tell me when the last terrorist attack on US soil was.

No soldiers lost their lives because of mistakes that were made. The mistakes have not affected combat situations, they were purely political and logistical mistakes. You people who blame him for the deaths make me sick......the deaths are purely on the shoulders of the Islamic Militants and Al-Qaida. If people actually took a few minutes out to think about it, they MIGHT realize that if something was not done about the situation we would be fighting the terrorists here on our own home soil.........THEN the liberal war-hating dems would be whining about why they were not protected enough. You can't have it both ways my friend.......

There is no draft. People signed up for the military knowing the risks, trust me, I did all that. You don't go pledge your life for something and never expect to have to back it up...especially if all you want is a college scholarship. The military is not mandatory, it is a privilege and a necessity. While Bush may have been the one to urge this country to war, he could not have taken his hand and forced any one of those brave men and women to offer their lives in the service of this country.

You have to look at his words carefully. The war was not a mistake. It was a deliberate action based on a series of lies.

Talk about a half-as.sed apology... but then again, it's more than I ever expected from King George. Too bad he still sees no reason to consider the opinion of the people. Guess he doesn't mind repeating his mistakes, regardless of 3000 plus American soldiers and countless Iraqi citizens dead.

Maybe you and a lot of other people should be saying, "how many of us and our family are still alive and safe due to the fact Bush had enough balls to show the terrorists we weren't going to sit back and do nothing.
