Try making it a real horror movie...you might have one or two scenes with humor just to get the audience off track ...thinking everything is going to be alright....then BAM...you hit them with more HORROR!!

I think that people love more terror by nature.

Look at the Saw films. The first was made for like $3 million and grossed over $100 million. Amazing profit.

More drama and humor - personally I think is better, BUT the real horror audiences are from 15-22 in age group and thus would be best to ask.

Looking at numbers though - I reckon more terror is a formula that works for generating profits. Depends what your aim is for when making the film. Personally I think it is not a bad idea to make a formulaic money driven first few films until you have the reputability to then make what you want.

Look at Sam Raimi - started with Evil Dead and now does Spiderman.

Good luck and have fun either way

Been a while since I've seen a GREAT Horror movie, not a comedy horror, a TRUE horror... one of my fav's is The Omen

I think horror movies shouldnt have comedy in as it spoils the stmosphere for the whole film and the viewer finds it harder to believe the story.

Sorry, but it shouldn't be up to us...it should be up to you. The best horror movies ever made broke with tradition and made their own path. Besides, you can have scary and funny..look at George Romero's Dawn of the Dead.

i always prefer a scary horror film than comedy but you gotta watch yourself for people try to make horror films serious but just end up making them a joke.

I love funny horrors - Shaun of the Dead and Severance where excellent films.

I think you need to make it really scary, not all gory but really tense and jumpy too.

Sorry I sort of said both so maybe that doesn't help?

There must be jokes in between, people will like it. When audience r watching they mut forget that they r watching a horror, put comedy inside
