Until they were abolished in February 1971, you needed a radio licence as well as a TV licence.

you don't need a TV licence but if you have it on at work and members of the public can hear it you need a entertainment licence,, trust me big fine if you do,

no you need to go to the post office and get a stereo licence theyre about £400 a year, switch your stereo off til you get one!!!!!

No. You do not need it for a stereo, even if it has a radio on it.

You DO, however, need one if you have a TV card on your PC.

no darlin' u only need it for use of any television receiving equipment such as a TV set, set-top boxes, video or DVD recorders, computers or mobile phones to watch or record TV programmes as they are being shown on TV.
