Any ideas on what I can do for his kids? I am long distance and can't see them physically but want to do something special for them to show them I care.

Yes, I think the best thing you can do is let them know you are available to talk anytime, and may, in the near future, they can come to visit you for awhile. Kids aren't always expressive in who/how adults make a difference in their lives, so you have to just be assured that by being there, you ARE!

Since you're long-distance, you can just let them know you're there for them. Perhaps send them long-distance calling cards to use, when they need to talk to someone. Maybe you could invite them to come and stay with you for a week.

send them a gift through the post you'd know they'd like or organise a trip for them to visit you in the holidays.
Or buy tickets to a show they'd like in there home town, or make something nice buy hand eg, jewellery box ,mirror or trinket box if you creative any craft shop can help you.
good luck

Send letters. Make phone calls. This kind of contact means more than gifts.

I feel for your brother. I can't think of a worse thing than for your spouse to up and leave you for another.

Sorry, I have no suggestions, but I did want to post to comment that you are a very considerate person to be so concerned about your nieces/nephews. The world needs more people like you who aren't afraid to show they care.

Send them an "I'm thinking of you, and here if you ever need me " card.......Enclose enough money to let them have a meal out at a place they would enjoy...better yet, a gift card for each one. You're a good aunt!!

I have been THAT brother, yes even after 13 years! we had 4 daughters ages 12,10,8, and 2. THE MOST YOU CAN DO IS DON'T TALK BAD ABOUT THEIR MOTHER!!! This is extremely hard to do. But no matter what she did... she is still their mother.

Just call them and let them use you as a sounding board. That is the best thing.
