In-laws can be a huge factor when a spouse is in the middle. That causes a lot of fighting. Trust me on that one. Stress from work and traumatic experiences (a lot of veteran divorces nowadays after they come home from the war). Financial burdens. Child-rearing and housework differences. Infidelity, jealousy. The list is too long.

hi i think that when two people meet date find love its really fun then its making it last forever, then people get married for the right reasons, get use to being in love togher take things for granted the fun, love needs slowly fade if the 2 in love let it, then find other things to do when the pressures get to them, its stop talking allways fighting, them ealy days of fun fade why people fall in love and get married for at this point theres reasons not to talk or try to work things out but remmber theres no pressures when ppl meet and find love so why do things have to change when love and marrige is about working togher forver and keeping the spark going sadly its all the the way ppl let things change with time that makes pressure. and then divorce its move on with life but sadly this can all repeat again if people dont learn from it.

so many, so many.
Split with hubby #1 because he didn't want anything to do with being a parent (and we had a son), and he couldn't be faithful.
Split with #2 because he was verbally and physically abusive.
Split with #3 because I only married him BECAUSE I was pregnant. I couldn't stand him any longer.
Split #4--after MANY years of marriage, because he was a functional alcoholic. No passion, no romance, no affection thru the entire marriage. I was never in love with him.We never argued or had financial problems--I was just tired of being a dman doormat and second income and not getting the things I needed from a husband, which he could NEVER give me, it wasn't in his personality or character to do so. The qualities I need in a mate are what he always considered PUSSY and WUSSY.
I wasn't willing to spend another 30yrs with him.

Financial problems, NOT communicating, lieing, cheating, lack of intimacy, not taking care of yourself (gaining too much weight, bad hygiene), not keeping romance alive in the relationship, not sharing responsibility either at home or financially. All or a combination of these things can cause people to fall out of love.

Now a days anything. Careers, as we see in Hollywood. Financial, Difference in religions, Cheating, and abuse.

Real reason number one: Not taking your vows seriously.

Real reason number two: Letting divorce be an option.

Real reason number three: Not knowing yourself or your partner
inside and out.(not just sexually but
fully,mind body and soul.)

An alcoholic husband. Always accusing the spouse of cheating. 12 years is a long time to put up with someone like that.

lack of communication, adultery, money problems, not on the same page, not wanting the same things out of life, drug abuse, abuse both physical and mental. fighting, kids from a past marriage, jealousy, inability to fight fairly, by attacking the person rather than the problem.
