He probably feels insecure for one of two reasons: 1.) He cheated on you, so he feels like he has to prove his love, so he wants to see what you'll do in his position 2.) He got some sort of information from someone that you might have been unfaithful. A friend could've called him and told him that you were flirting with a guy. There's really no way of knowing if it's 1.) or 2.), but I would say it's likely 2.). You should ask him about the reason that he wants you to prove it. Say that you thought that your love is proven every day because you think about him and love him so much. Say that you're wondering why he all of a sudden doubts it. And then to prove it, say "I love you. And if that's not enough for you, then you don't believe what I say, and I don't see what I could've done to deserve this." He's playing some sort of twisted game, like all guys sometimes do. They usually do so to cover up some insecurity they have. The reasons 1) and 2) explain two different insecurities he might have. But to be sure, say what you feel about it. Then again, if he said it in playful way, then don't take this as seriously as I just explained. Just use your charm sweetie!

long distance can work. mine did. married for almost 4 years now (long distance while we dated). But you shouldn't have to "PROVE" anything to him. Kinda sounds like a jerk to me.
