Choose a neutral color that goes with the tops you plan to wear. Black may too heavy for spring and summer. Try navy or medium blue, medium dark grey, wine, teal, camel/khaki/beige, or medium light brown.

But take stock of your choices for tops first, because you must consider if you want people to actually notice the skirt if you are wearing it weekly or monthly.
