I couldn't add detail to the last entry I made on this. The solution I learned of via a mechanic is to take the manifod to a welding shop (that knows aluminium welding) and they add metal to rebuild the tang. Its a bout a $50 repair, Beats $500 for a new manifold.

I'm not sure what the question is. Or, if it's a question at all.
But here goes anyway.

1) Thermostat housings themselves do not have threads. Just holes for the stud/bolt.

2) The intake manifold is drilled and tapped to allow a stud/bolt.

3) If, the bolt/stud is broken, it needs to be extracted, and if necessary, drilled out and "Heli-Coiled".

4) If the T-stat housing is broken, go buy another one. $16.

5) If the Manifold has broken where the stud/bolt screws into then you certainly do need to have the manifold repaired.

If, you are answering someone elses' question, disreguard this entire answer......I'm an idiot.
