It is better than doing noting different and expecting different results. If they can now take an area, clear it and prevent terrorist/ insurgents from coming back in until Iraqi government can be set up the plan will save lives. Before when an area was cleared troops moved on to the next area and insurgents would return to cleared areas (like roaches when the lights are turned on). I don't know if 20,000 is enough but I hope so. I want to see our troops come home but the mission must be complete. I do like that the plan calls for timely action by Iraqi government in order for the US to keep troop levels high.

Yes!!! It's going to help solve the problem. Especially now since they are not limiting the military to what they can or can not do. Like look inside Mosaic. Where the jihads were hiding weapons. It's war time with nut jobs playing fair is not an option!! People wanted a solution he came up with one. People wanted goals he gave them.
The President might stumble on his speeches. He is not be the greatest spokesperson not even a mediaoca one. He might be stubborn as a mule (even though he is belongs to the elephant party). But he is by no means dumb.

I dont think so, let the Iraqi government have a turn in running their own country. its getting pretty old that Bush wants to make America look like Big Brother trying to protect the people! what is the benefit of all this. Bush- why dont you resign as US president and become prime minister of Iraq or something?

and for the record the civilians of Iraq have no interest in bombing US grounds, they just want us out of their homelands. I wonder how American would feel if a country invaded us and tried to change our politcal ideologies!

I don't know, i'm not in the battleground. If the generals think that sending more troops will win the war, then yes i am for it. You can't make these assumptions cause you are not there and you have no idea what the current situation is. The only thing you know is what CNN tells you. I want the US to win this war.

solid question, wish i might actually help with your task. i could % to think of of myself as a conservative and dependable to the Republican party. As such, one can assume I accept as true with the President purely on partisan strains. it fairly is not genuine. america as a wide-unfold inhabitants (government, civilian, and protection rigidity) made a mistake by using having in contact with Iraq. regardless of what we now be attentive to, hindsight is 20/20. The President ought to step up and take accountability for his mistake as a exchange of tip-toeing around it. i will admit with humility that I made a mistake by using helping the conflict interior the 1st place, and that i exchange into stupid. Taking accountability shows a miles better character, one I even have not seen with the Bush administration. A troop surge in Iraq now could do not something. This conflict and conflict isn't as we communicate forward, it is calculating in its covert nature. greater troops will purely enable a miles better aim interior the form of an American Flag to be dancing around Iraq. What then, must be executed? Iraq is a muslim state, and as such we ought to admire that and use it to a political income. the respond could be to get different Muslim international locations in contact strongly with Iraq. Saudia Arabia, even Iran (even inspite of the incontrovertible fact that their "President" is a mad-guy) to aim and ruin down the countless Sunni-Shiite changes that plague the conflict. If perhaps, Iraq could be rotated into something to sell a Muslim "oneness" then there's a threat for realtive stability interior the area. From what I understand, assorted the hatred in direction of human beings is from our hypocritical foreign places coverage (i.e. we offer you weapons sooner or later and then the subsequent call you the undesirable guy). Turning this around to a minimum of something that seems to hold a greater static coverage could additionally be solid. wish I gave you some perception, perfect to you, and peace.

Well maybe our protection here in America is secured- but I heard he is only sending 21,000 more troops to Iraq to get everybodies mind off the fact that he's planning to invade Iran.

Yes, we owe it to the majority of Iraqi's. Would you want to be overrun by death squads in your neighborhood? Suppose the police wouldn't respond when you called to say they kidnapped your daughter. Don't think of yourself, think of the innocent Iraqi women and children who would not be free to walk the streets if we left them without ridding the death squads. America is better than that, we don't cut & run. Give our troops support, they want to win this thing and they are sacrificing their lives for you and me.

We will never change their way of life or beliefs as soon as we leave that country it will go right back to the old ways. Just like Vietnam it is a LOSE LOSE SITUATION!! No. 20,000 additional troops is like throwing a bucket of water on the towering inferno. A waste of lives, money, and time. He blew it when he disbanded the Iraqi military. What can you expect from a simple mind...
