If you call like H&r block they can give you a number to find out if your taxs will be off set. Hay and with your student lone you could try to get a deferment on the. I had to get an exstended on for myself.

If the reason you had set up the payment plan is because you had defaulted on the original payment schedule for your student loan, then yes, they can take your tax refund.

If you haven't been paying, then yes...A couple of year's ago, they took our entire refund to put on student loans..ouch! You could try to call the place where you have the payment plan thru and try to get caught up..

Yes, I had it happen to me. If you are married though make sure your spouse files possibly as "injured spouse" or something similar (talk to a tax advisor or research for the exact terminology). That way they will not take all of your tax refund-just the part that you would be responsible for.

I am so old and rickety...I have spent so many years paying on my daughter's tuition bill...waiting for it in the mail as my hair grows long and white (cant afford haircut and dye)..preparing the bill and licking the envleope...putting a stamp on it...walking it up to the post office only to wait on it again for the next month..Will it ever end?????
Be thankful for the loan...the ability to pay...and you will always have the skill to use...
