I felt she didn't need an SUV, plus I thought they were kind of masculine. I told her I would let her get a 2003 Honda Accord EX if she wanted. I like that car a whole lot better. It was my idea to get that car because I like the cool features and the navigation system option. That was the only new car I would let her get so she said okay.

Okay, you are the guy here. Presumably you should make better automotive decisions. To talk her out of an SUV was a good move on a lot of levels. Not the least of which is operating expense. HOWEVER,you might have tried using different reasons than the navigation system and other "cool features".
Maybe the ability to react to accident situations, fuel economy, environmentally friendlier and less time to wash and maintain ,which again presumably is your job.
Do not feel guilty about talking her out of an SUV. They are not masculine only stupid excess for 90% of their purchasers. The entire nation would be much better off with fewer SUVs on the highway.Stick to sports or stick to utility the two do not mix very well.

As for "letting" her buy something, next time maybe you should say that you disagreed with her purchasing decision, then all the women could feel more like it was not an attack on their independence, you Neanderthal.

BTW with todays recent snowfall I counted no fewer than 5 SUV's stuck in the median in 20 miles traveled. Not one Accord.

You got the car you wanted. Not what she wanted, I did not know a car was masuline or feminine. You get a car to meet your needs and something you like. I can understand price issues, but for you to say this is the only thing you can have sounds like your her father not her husband. What if she told you , you could not have the Honda. How would you feel. Talk over this decision. I know I have been there. My ex came home with this large buick and his mom tells me how great it rode and how wonderful a car it was. I put my foot down, if she wanted the car let her get it. I played second fiddle behind her for years and I finally stood up. But should have done it a lot sooner. You need to discuss things not give the finally word a marriage is not a kingdom, it is a partnership.

If she has a good job and is paying for it, I don't see why you care what options it has. Why do you care how her car suites you? You're not the one who has to drive it. SUVs aren't masculine anymore. Why are you so concerned about that anyway? Are you worried that she'll look like she's more in charge than you are?

If she is going to be the primary driver of the vehicle, then you should let her pick it out. I made the same mistake a few years ago when my wife wanted a truck and I wanted her to get a car. She still brings that up to this day.

ok...so what's the real reason why you wouldn't let her buy an suv? so what if they seem masculine. i see more women driving suvs than men do. so what's the problem? you have your job and she has hers. she makes her money and spends it as she sees fit as do you. you have no right to tell her how to spend her money. maybe you did not let her because you don't like the fact that she makes more money than you do. or because you did not like the fact that she would get a vehicle that would be way more expensive than yours anyways. im surprised that she even went along with it. what a turn off!

You want her to have a car that you really like? Why don't you buy the Honda Accord EX for yourself and let her get something she likes.

That whole "let" thing, by the way, is a real turn-off.

Good for you. Show the woman where her place is! Women should always have approval of their husbands first before making any decisions in order to prevent making a bad choice. Fortunately, he made a choice here where the wife will never get a second glance from some cute guy. It is called the "minivan" syndrome. Women who drive this type of car are being owned by their husbands. They get no looks as this car is very plain and boring and basiclly says "I am just plain Jane, ordinary Joe."
Good for him! Way to own that "P"

You seem to have a strange fetish for posting misogonystic "questions" that are clearly not based in reality. I'm curious what you get out of doing this, because I would think, given the number of times you have done it, it would not still be funny to you, if it ever was. Does it sexually arouse you for women to be angry at you? Email me, because I'd love to know.
