You will need to reinstall them (which is possible if you have the original installation disks that came with your computer, with the programs on them.)

When you reformat your computer, all data and installation files are removed. You will have to reinstall both windows, and all your currently existing programs.

Make sure to back-up your personal files on cd-s or on an external hard drive so you don't lose anything.

If you reformat with an authentic Windows disc, you will lose EVERYTHING on your computer, unless you choose to just install Windows over again (but that's not considered reformatting). You would have to reinstall all the other programs again. If you reformat with a Recovery CD that came specifically with your computer when you bought it from a store, then you will lose everything that didn't come with the computer (like all the files you've saved, created, etc). The recovery CD should reinstall the programs that originally came with the computer.

If you do a basic reformat.. you will loose everything on the drive except the operating system. If you do it as a restore from your rescue disk that came with the comp everything will be set back to the way it was when you first got the computer. You will loose anything/work/programmes that were done after that.

they will be sent to oblivion. deleted in other words. When you got your computer you should have been given recovery CDs. If you use these it will put office back on if it was there to begin with, but you will have to reinstall other programs that you have added yourself. Remember to back up music and photos on to a DVD or CD because these will get deleted as well.

Look into partitioning your hard drive. This way you wont have to back up your files. You can have the windows operating system on one part of the hard drive and your files on the other part.

Hope this helps :D

If you reformat, that wipes the entire C drive clean. ALL programs, music, pictures and other created files would be GONE.

Always, always back up your computer files.

And get expert advice / instruction before using the reformating.

formatting your computer means this

the comptuer rewrites the file system of the harddrive. the file system is basically the location files and folders are aranged on the hard drive.

formatting it rewrites over it and destors ALL of the data.

if you do want to format, your programs should be on the disks that came with the comptuer so they can be reinstalled.
ms word will NOT work if you simply copy the program directory. it must be reinstalled to replace files that go into windows that pertain to word.

yup... all those programs and your data will vanish.
You want to do a backup first onto another hard drive or cds or something.
You will need to reinstall Windows and all the applications + copy your data back from backups.
