I am looking for a high school diploma class online that isn't going to rip me off. I want to take some collage casses after I get my high school diploma so i want to make sure i can do so with whatever class i take online.

Congrats on taking the initiative to further yourself and your education! The very best place to start is to contact the Adult Basic Education that is a part of the school district you live in. Every community has one! They offer more than just GED programs. Many have online classes, which are free or nearly free--usually just a cash book deposit. When you are finished w/whatever credits you need, you will get a real and provable diploma.

they are all scams basically. (the ones you see advertised on the internet everywhere).
A high school diploma/GED can only be awarded by your state board of education.
Check with your local school district they all usually have high school completion and ged courses at no charge for residents. Some do offer online course's. The tests themselves I believe have to adminstered by the state.

Try BYU.edu and go to their High School Diploma section. This is in association with Brigham Young University in Utah... an accredited on-line high school and college program. You will need someone (not a family member) to proctor or supervise your tests. Check with your local library to see if the librarian there is willing to receive and administer the tests to you... if not, maybe your local high school counselor would be willing, even if you are not enrolled... good luck!

They are not all scams. Look into charter Schools in your state. Make sure that the on-line program is accredited with some type of National Accreditation program
