Would you do this as a freshman in college at 18 years old??

So i have this plan...for over the summer. My friends and i were talking about how much we missed our childhood. And i came up with this idea to play all these kids games over the summer at a local park.

-My plan is to play: Capture the flag - both teams are going to have different colored shirts on right..and instead of tagging people...we would use paint. Fill water balloons and such with paint....and that would show if you got tagged.

-We were also going to play 4-square, parachute, tug of war, a big game of basketball and dodge ball.-

--i haven't really told my friends about this yet....
I'm kind-of embarrassed and feel they might think it's stupid. If you were 18 and a freshman in college would you think this was a stupid idea? Do you think it's a stupid idea? Tell me what you think before i go and tell them....about it

tell me what you think is it a stupid idea?
would you play?

Well, that all depends on how your friends are. It may freak them out that you want to relive your childhood, but then again they may like the idea. No on is too old for capture the flag, that game never ceases to be exciting, and the water balloon or paint balloons puts a new twist on the game, kinda like a mix of paint ball. I bet they would go for it if you pitched the idea in a cool way.

That sounds like fun! It doesn't matter how old you are, as long as you're having fun. Even if you're 18 and wanting to play kids' games again. I'm seventeen and my friends and I act like kids a lot, as well. It is fun to be able to go back and do some things you once did as a child. I don't see anything wrong with you're idea. Gotta have one more summer as a kid before you get out in the real world after all! XP

Hey Jackie Knows Best I'm not a gambling man anymore but I'd bet my next paycheck that your buddies would love to do this as a fun thing to do over the summer. We all have an inner child and not enough of us allow it to come out and this sounds like a friggin blast. Be comfortable with yourself and your friends and allow them to make up their own minds about whether or not they wish to participate but I'd say at least 90% will buy into this as a great way to have fun and to bring back some found memories prior to leaving home for their educations. Have a great summer and allow the kid in you to have fun.

Personally, I think it sounds like fun! But, I would definitely run the idea by them first. Depending on the size of the group, you might even come up with alternative games/activities for the ones who prefer something more grown up.

Excellent idea and it will be lots of fun. Good to see someone planning an activity that is well thought out and sounds like a positive good time for everyone involved.

Dude, that sounds like a great idea! When I was 20 i was a lifeguard during the summer, and me and all my college friends got together and had a mad 4-square tournament. Yeah, we felt like dorks at first, but my buddy and i ruled!

I graduate from college this spring and I'd play. My friends and I get together and do this kind of stuff from time to time. Plus, these are the kinds of things frat's do all the time! It should be awesome. My buddy's Pi Kapp chapter recently posted on YouTube this exact same kind of thing.. it looked sweet as hell.. wished I woulda been there for it!

To me, it's a little silly, since you really havent had a lot of time to miss your childhood yet. You're in college now, it's time to let go of certain things & move on. Give it 10 years & see how you feel about your childhood then.

I think you should do it. its a good way to lossen up and have fun. Dont be embarrased, if only everyone could have as much fun as you, that would be there loss. Your never too old to do anything. And even if you still feel embarrased why not take it to someones back yard or something like that. Good luck!

Go ahead it's a great idea, and when your a little older and have kids of your own you'll actually remember how to play those games and be able to teach them to your kids and their friends. And you'll also remember how young it made you feel,. Makes me wanna join in.
