I prefer to do my "slinkying" with the metal version.

I did. I owned an original metal Slinky. Though I have one of those plastic neon colored ones at my house now for some reason. ..But yeah, I bought an original metal Slinky, the one that walked down the stairs(*I never could get mine to do that though) on the TV commercials, when they came out.

I have a metal slinky about 30 some yrs old. The plastic ones are crap & break in the first week if not day.
They don't make them like they used to!
I must settle on the metal! :)
