I have a dryer (gas system), realized that it suddenly stop drying up my clothes. Somehow when I touch the dryer I can tell that it no longer gets hot. What could be the issue? What should I look for? and can that be repaired or is it better to get a new one?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks

It's prbably the heating element, whatever that's actually called, and in some models can be fixed for less but sometimes its cheaper just to buy a whole new dryer!

Have you emptied the lent trap? This is usually the reason my dryer takes longer to dry clothes. So try that if you haven't already.

Depending on the model, check to see if you have a gas pilot light or an electric igniter...If you have a gas pilot light it could be out or if you electric igniter then it could burned out, or the problem could be that the thermostat could be out...Unless you have the skill to fix it yourself, it would be best to hire an experienced "Repair Man"...Call the dealer that manufactures your dryer and have them fix your problem...

Call a repair man and see how uch he wants to fix it.
If the repair bill is too high, just buy a new one.

call your local appliances shops usually they can send someone to check to see what is wrong but it might cost you like 50-100 bucks just for the check up. samething happened with my dryer but mine was electric.

Heating element is out maybe. You will have to call a local store that handles those and see how much it would cost for them to come out and look at it etc etc.. You will have to make your descion based on that.
