President Carter's views on the middle east are not popular with everyone, but I think he gives a fair assessment of what is really going on over there. The man can certainly speak from a perspective that is rarely seen by the general public. There's a lot more to the Palestinian problem than the American press chooses to share. I don't think he's biased since he has no outright ties to either Israel or the Palestinians.

Both I guess, Carter is biased but he believes it to be true what he wrote. I wouldn't call it a good read, the subject has been written about numerous times already, and I would opt for a non-biased source. Wouldn't that be a more meaningful read?

I am sure that President Carter is a nice guy, and that his heart is in the right place. He has done some great work here in the United States.

That said, do you really want to read a foreign policy book written by the guy who couldn't deal with the Iranian hostage crisis, or who brokered that "great" deal with North Korea for Clinton?

I won't be wasting my money.
