So I moved to the US last year, and there's this best friend I had, who I told everything, kinda like the brother I never had. He was a grade lower than me, so after I graduated Highschool, He was in his final year.To cut the long story short...I disappeared, didn't even contact him.For one whole year! I had done some stuff in school that I wasn't proud of, So I hid from him. Now I'm so far from him, and It's kinda wrecking me coz we were brothers!(AND I'M NOT GAY FOLKS!!)
Will he ever forgive me?

My best friend came into my life my freshman year when she moved here from down south and she was a sophmore....we were practically insperateable and continued that way untill right after her graduation..i got preggers my senior year by my bf (who is now my hubby and weve been together ever since) and she began to run with different people and got mixed up in some heavy bad drugs...i told her that i didnt want to hang out with her while she was doing that stuff b/c i didnt want it around me or my soon 2 be baby and when she was done with that stuff to get ahold of me...a year and half passes and guess what!! She calls me...we slowly SLOWLY started to connect and talk again and since then shes moved all around this coutnry and We are the BEST of friends and talk at least weekly......Like we never skipped a beat! it can be mended (not sure what u did in high school or your reason for disappearing but) if you owe an apology --give it....it your got some explaining to do - do it...you have to take the first step and let him know your missing him and would like to be apart of his life again! Then take things slowly and make the effort to get re-involved again...hope it all work out for ya!

Contact him again! The only way to find out for sure is to try and speak to him again. I dont actually know the whole story as to why you left without a word, but good friends are hard to come by, you might kick yourself say in a few years time when you meet someone and maybe decide to get married, you'll be missing someone that was very important to you at your wedding, and you will live to regret it, so do it now before its too late xx

I'd be willing to gamble that he will not only forgive you but be grateful to see you and that your alright after your high school problems. True friends are very forgiving and sometimes we fear things that aren't really there. Sounds to this old guy like this is a true friend and he has probably worried and wondered about your whereabouts, now you can inform him and put his mind at ease. Best of luck to you and your buddy getting to know each other once again.

Generally, and I'm speaking in very broad American stereotypes, I think men are more quick to forgive and forget than women. My boyfriend, for example, doesn't talk to his friends for months or years at a time but still consideres them his best friends. I think you stand a good chance, but again, I don't know the guy so I'm basing my thoughts on generalities.

If he really loves you, he might take his time, but he will eventually forgive you. Talk to him on the phone or send him a long e-mail. Keep trying and apologizing until he takes you back in. If he is that close to you, don't ever lose him. Good luck!

Write, call, email, whatever - and apologize for your treatment of him. Then ask for his forgiveness. He will either forgive you - or not. Either way, at least you've done what you could to remedy what's "wrecking" you.

Just keep in mind: if you don't ask, the answer is automatically no!

If you are true to him and explain to him all the reasons of your disappearance, he may understands! It depends on the way he still feels for you! But don't give it up on the first try! Continue trying!Keep telling him how you feel for him! But, don't forget tell him only the truth!
It's very nice of you that you understood your mistakes!

PS: You don't have to tell that you are not gay! Feelings are for people of all sexes!
