It comes to your meter and the thing on your meter is called a regulator that regulates the amount/Pressure of gas into your home In comes in at.21 bar give or take one Milli bar.This pushes the gas around the system no matter what appliances you have on they should all receive .21 bar
If this pressure is not their the appliances do not get their gas/oxygen resulting in monoxide production///poisoning
