Preps get to be prom king and queen, same for homecoming and such things. The non-preps are not even thought of for something like that. We are a last resort. Like this year for me and my friends. The only reason we got picked for Sno-Daze coronation is because the preps already went through the whole deal. We are a LAST RESORT!!!!!!!!

my dear, I was queen one year, and it was not fun AT ALL! after that year, I stopped with the whole "prep" thing, I stopped being "fake" I let myself become who I really was, I wore what I thought was fun, got really into art, and I actually became friends with people of all groups, the nerds, a few good hearted preps that i still likes, the gothic group, etc... and you know what, I had so much more fun not being in the spot light, not being a popular prep... i know it doesn't feel good all the time, but trust me, you are at a much better place in life than the fake preps who act like friends to each other, and then stab each other in the back to be a little more popular... be happy knowing that you are free, and happy being who YOU want to be not what everyone else wants you to be... as queen I tried to make everyone else happy, but found myself becoming more and more unhappy myself... and we need to love ourselves before we can love anyone else... :)

The preps are too preppy, Im sure you don't want to be known as one who is a slut, and not so smart. Its okay to be a second resort because they probably DONT KNOW what they're missing. Preps get bored too easily and have no sensitivity, They all think they are cool, (which theyre far from it) and think they make the world go round. They do need a reality check so they can tune in...but what is the point, when we grow up to be millionaires and they turn out to be Burger kings cashier??

If you want to be king or queen you have to campaign like a president unless you are well known like "popular" people. Like this girl I knew, she asked a lot of people to vote for her and she was on Homecoming Court. But really, "popular" people usually win because they are often the people who come to mind when people vote for king and queen. This is all my personal view.

preps? prep is like layering polos, argyle, peppy, bermuda shorts, golf people. i know that is totally a label, i hate labels, but prep is not popular. prep? someone is not voted prom queen because they like argyle and are peppy. seriously. in my school, sure, there are preppy-popular people, but really, what are you talking about? prep is almost a trend.

kiddo,

Its all about how you treat others. Its not about the sports you play, the clothes you wear, the money your parents have. Its how you treat your peers. In 10 years your classmates will say. hmm..She had horrible taste in clothes, but she was really nice to me. Maybe its time to be an individual, so your not always saying "We"

There are those who make things happen.
There are those who watch things happen.
There are those who let things happen.
And there are those who wonder what is happening.

Decide which one you want to be.
