Who wears glasses?

Question

I started wearing glasses when I was 12 years old. In 2002, those glasses I used to wear, I didn't really needed to wear it because I can see normally. In 2006, I went back to my doctor and he write me a new glasses but this time, I have to wear it all of the time. He said that my eyes were getting worst.

I cried because I was wondering what if my eyes keep getting worst as I get older. Why am I the only one wearing a glasses in the family? My whole family can see everything perfectly.

Try eating carrots everytime you eat healthy food. Or buy some everytime you go to the grocery store. Plus don't sit too close to the tv and don't get too close to your computer. Don't read in the dark or don't out the book close to your face. Another thing I want to tell you is get some contacts. I wish there was another way I can help but I can't. Carrots reallly do help! I have since I was 17, half a lifetime ago. I can't wear contacts. And on top of that my expensive glasses broke 2 weeks ago and I can't afford a new pair for a while so I'm stuck with glasses from 17 years ago! I look like an owl!

Don't worry, there are so many people wearing glasses, so you will not be the only one. I started wearing glasses when I was 17 eventhough I needed them earlier,but I used to just get on with it. But now I can't go without them. I think that it is just your eyes get used to you wearing it so they don't work very hard to see anymore therefore when you take them off, your eyesight will look worse than maybe a year ago?? Might be wrong, but that is what I think.

I hear you. But if someone in your family wears glasses or has bad eyes there is as in your case a chance someone else will need glasses. Now this family member can be an aunt, uncle, grandparent. ANYONE in your blood line. But now a days they amke some pretty cool glasses that actually make you look cool to be wearing them. I wouldn't be concerned too much with it. But I wish you luck in your future. OH I DO wear glasses.

i wear glasses- and my eyes keep getting worse as i get older. you can get contacts (trust me they're not that bad - i love them) but some people are allergic or prone to infection etc. -ask your doctor if you're interested. You can also get a pair of glasses that you really really like - go to a store with a big selection like lenscrafters and make the salesperson let you try on like every single pair - there's bound to be a pair you really like. you can also use your glasses optionally if it doesn't bother you (like when you're just hanging out, not driving or something like that) don't worry about it - my whole family wears glasses, so do most of my friends - trust me no one will care :)

Don't worry, I started wearing glasses when I was eight. As you grow older, the less possibility it will become for you to increase your vision. Try this tip, when you can see what you need to see, let your eyes take a rest, and take your glasses off and look at green trees. This calms down your eyes.

Thats how my sister is, she is almost the only one who cant see well, i would suggest contacts unless they irritate your eyes.

Perhaps your eyes might be getting worse because of what you do, when you watch to much t.v/computer/ect. your eyes tend to worsen....if thats the case, try to even out your time outside as well as inside!

you should stop worying and keep wearing ur glasses as long as u wear them , ur eyes wont get any worse, get a check up at least a year. . so u can see if ur eyes got better or worst. please keep ur glasses on!
