if you are not one of the parents, then no, dont go. i have seen judges/hearing officers get quite p 'off about gf or bf attending anyway (and they tell them 'this is none of your business, this is between the two parents').

its not a war where you need to be 'supportive', but if you want to be supportive, dont bad mouth the babys mama... just say things to him like 'your a good dad for taking care of your child' and things like that.

all they are going to do is look at both parents incomes, and how many children (are in the case, not how many others he/she may have) and come up with a figure.

here is a calculator to help; just click on your state and fill it in. this is to give a general idea as to what is to be paid.

Why not? He is with you now and if the both of you are serious about each other, why not? You need to be there for support unless the ex is a drama queen. I would be there for my man if he was going through such a thing. Believe me...he will need you by his side.

you can go with him if you want for moral support, but you won't be allowed to go into the courtroom with him. they say its none of your business. thats what they told me, but they didn't take into consideration that the kid came into my home, i had to cook for her, clean up after her, have a room in my home for her. wash her clothes, etc..and i had to go in clothes with holes while he paid child support each month even though he wasn't working.
it is really a mess, but if you are going with the guy, then its best to know everything from the start.

LEAVE HIS BUTT...Why would you stay with someone who could keep something as IMPORTANT as a CHILD from you?
He is just saying it was to protect you so you wouldn't be as mad. It's the same as lying...go before he sucks you in good. Hopefully your not married.

Good luck
Cyn

your question is so poorly written I do not understand what u are asking....but if he is he required to appear before the court u should only attend if HE HAS ASKED FOR U TO BE THERE

otherwise stay out of it---it is not your concern

If you two have, or are planning to have a long-term relationship, then you need to be there. Ultimately, anything that effects his finances will in turn have an effect on your relationship.
