YES. BUT only as long as you don't accept ANYONE you don't know or havent met personally. Don't have relationships online its stupid. And also, make sure you know who it is on the other side of the computer, They could say they are someone you know, but could be someone different. So ask them a few personal questions to see if they know them.

I know for a fact if you set your profile to private their is no way to view it unless that person is your friend. I even tried to overide it on an old friend but no luck. So its safe enough as long as you don't put personal information out their. And you know who your friends are.

how do u think some bad person could get in when it is set to private? there is no way.
